After the death of her spouse, Edie Windsor was presented with a huge estate tax bill because federal tax benefits given to opposite-sex couples were denied to same-sex couples. Offended by this, Edie and attorney Roberta Kaplan decided to sue.
There will be a post-film discussion with producer/director DONNA ZACCARO, Rockland County Bar Association president ANDREA COMPOSTO, and advertising industry professional ERIC DEA, moderated by CHRISTINA PRATT, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology, St. Thomas Aquinas College and Pace University.

Broadway and Depew Ave. More parking is available in the Nyack Municipal Lot located off Cedar St. This lot is a three block walk from the Nyack Center. Please leave time to park and arrive at the Nyack Center on time. All parking muni-meters are in effect from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 11:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday through Sunday. The cost for the meters is $0.75 per hour.
