Meets on the 4th Sunday of the month
1:00 to 2:30 pm
Getting older brings life changes no matter who we are, and being LGBTQ+ can heighten the challenges this brings. Some of us may have physical challenges, we may have lost partners, family, and/or close friends, we may feel isolated or lonely, or we may simply be feeling a lack of opportunity to discuss events whether positive or not so positive with others who share common life experiences.
Rockland Pride is responding! We are set to begin our LGBTQ+ Connections group, a space for LGBTQ+ people who are 50 years old or older.
Those who join as we begin our adventure will have an opportunity to help inform the group’s mission and plans. We are planning to meet every 4th Wednesday of the month from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the Rockland Pride Center in Nyack, NY.
We plan for the group to be a discussion group about any topic, but we also hope to have other activities depending on group input. LGBTQ+ Connections is a social group, not a psychotherapy group, and is free of charge.
The group is led by Judy Gringorten, Rockland Pride volunteer and local psychotherapist, and Matt Koke a Rockland Pride staff member. Judy and Matt are both proud members of the LGBTQ+ 50+ club!
