Join the Rockland Pride Center for an evening to recognize the history and ongoing impact of the HIV/AIDS crisis. This event will be grounded in viewing a panel of the National AIDS Memorial Quilt honoring Ed Morris and others. Special guests include Rockland’s own Dr. Cheryl Morris, daughter of Ed Morris and creator of his Quilt piece. Additional community speakers will share the history of Rockland County’s response from the 1980s through today and a special presentation by the Pride Center’s Youth Council.
We welcome attendees and participants of all ages to share the impact of HIV/AIDS on their lives. All are welcome, from older adults who lost friends and lovers to young people who want to show care and support through listening.
This event is free and open to all.
