Hot Topic: Sex & Relationships for Trans and Non-Binary Communities

Thursday, June 4th | 6:30 PM – 8 PM

How do we seek pleasure, intimacy, and love in our Trans and Non-Binary bodies? This community conversation opens space for local wisdom to be energized by the participation of NYC Trans educator and activist Cecilia Gentili. A discussion space to share personal experience, learn from one another, and build community around this often requested topic.

This event is for Transgender and Non-Binary adults (18+) only.

 

Drag Queen Story Hour
with Jazel Jazalien

Saturday, June 6th | 11 AM – 12 Noon

Designed for kids ages 3 – 8, but everyone is welcome! Dress up encouraged!

Join this year’s Miss Gay NJ Jazel Jazalien for stories in English and Spanish, songs, and a simple craft.

Supplies needed to participate in the craft: Construction paper, markers, scissors and optional googly eyes.

Everyone is welcome to party with Rockland Pride (in collaboration with LoverGirl NYC, Cynthia Russo, and Las Reinas).

DJ Mary Mac spins your favorite pride anthems as we dance, connect, and toast a happy pride! Have your best Pride looks camera-ready.

 

Lesbian & Queer Women’s History: an Inter-Generational Dialogue
with Marlene Colburn, a founder of the NYC Dyke March

Thursday, June 18th | 6 PM – 7:30 PM

Reminisce or learn about the history of the local Lesbian & Queer Women’s communities here in New York. Led by a multi-generational panel of Lesbian & Queer Women, this is a space to listen, share, and ask questions.
 

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, but we ask that only Lesbian & Queer identified Women share and participate.

 

Fathers’ Day Family Cooking
with Matt, Bobby & Rosie

Saturday, June 21st | 1 PM – 2 PM

Join Pride Center fathers Matt & Bobby alongside their daughter Rosie to make simple fruit pizza for Father’s Day.

Ingredients needed to participate in this event: pre-made sugar cookie roll, pizza pan (disposable is fine), cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar, small can of mandarin oranges, assorted fruit (strawberries, bananas, kiwi, peached) canned or pre-sliced.

Broadway Sings!

Join us for a night of Broadway show tunes. Broadway’s brightest sing just for you, our Rockland County Pride Center family.

Hosted by Matt Koke and surprise guests.

 

Pride Month Youth Events

Mondays through Saturdays | 4 pm

Youth can participate in a variety of virtual pride month events, including an LGBTQ+ history quiz show in collaboration with the Nyack Library, a virtual dance party, and meet and greets with LGBTQ+ artists.

  • Live music by Funk Salsa Urban — crowning of the new Mx. Rockland County Pride – apperance by Carmen Carrera — performances by local high school marching bands — food trucks, frozen non-alcoholic drinks, and great local vendors 
  • For families: Drag Queen Story Hour at 12 and 3 PM — bounce castle, slide, and inflatable obstacle course — crafts with the Green Meadow Waldorf School 
  • For youth: dedicated youth space with music, crafts, and more brought to you by the Rockland County Pride Center in collaboration with CANDLE Youth Pride and SAEDA

 

After Party with Carmen Carrera

  • 5 to 10 PM at UNoodles (14 Main Street, Haverstraw, NY) — $20 cover gets you entrance to the party and a meet and greet with Carmen, purchase tickets in-person at the event
