Pride Month 2017 is in the books!
August 17, 2017
Summertime! School is out, kids are at camp, vaca/staycations are in full effect, AC’s are blasting and Pride Month 2017 is in the books! It was so busy, in fact, it spilled into July and the month escaped us. But what an amazing and successful few months it was, thanks to YOU! We welcomed over 40 families for our first annual Pride Family Picnic, enjoyed a fabulous evening with NYC & Nyack’s finest entertainers at Richard Skipper Celebrates Pride, collaborated with the Nyack Park Conservancy to bring No Discipline to Memorial Park in Nyack for a free concert, RoCA hosted our annual Juried Art Exhibit & Sale to Benefit Pride, over 100 folks joined us for an LGBTQ Meet-Up at BVs Grill at the Time Hotel, and thousands of folks flooded the streets to celebrate our 19th Annual Rockland County Pride Sunday. Wowzas! Diana and I love this job, and Pride Month is particularly special as we get to connect with thousands of people who all share the same belief – equality & justice for all, with no exceptions. This week, we keep moving ahead with an exciting announcement – so stay tuned! (p.s. It has been over a month since my last edition, so this is for you.)
