Getting older brings life changes no matter who we are, and being LGBTQ+ can heighten the challenges this brings. Some of us may have physical challenges, we may have lost partners, family, and/or close friends, we may feel isolated or lonely, or we may simply be feeling a lack of opportunity to discuss events whether positive or not so positive with others who share common life experiences.
We plan for the group to be a discussion group about any topic, but we also hope to have other activities depending on group input. LGBTQ+ Connections is a social and support group, not a psychotherapy group, and is free of charge.
The group is led by Judy Gringorten, Rockland Pride volunteer and local psychotherapist, and Matt Koke a Rockland Pride staff member. Judy and Matt are both proud members of the LGBTQ+ 50+ club!
